 Henry L. Lezak

June 30, 1911 – October 28, 1995

 SOUTH BEND – Henry L. Lezak, 84, of Whispering Pines Nursing Home, Valparaiso, formerly of South Bend, died at 10:27pm Saturday in the nursing home. Mr. Lezak retired from Indiana State Highway Commission in the engineering department after 23 years of service.

 He was born June 30, 1911, in Niagara WI and lived in South Bend since 1926. On November 28, 1935, in South Bend, he married Virginia Stults. She survives with three daughters, Linda Vendl and Vicki Peuquet, both of Valparaiso, and Lori Barron of Myrtle Point OR; a son, James of Pompano Beach FL; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Looney of Madison Heights TN.

 He was a member of Eagles Lodge 435, South Bend Coin Club and Holy Cross Catholic Church, and was a veteran of World War II.

 Service will be at 11am Thursday in the church. Entombment will be in Highland Mausoleum. Friends may call from 3 to 8pm Wednesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Memorial contributions may be made to Harvest House of the church.
