Dorothy H. Lemme

SOUTH BEND - Dorothy H. Lemme, 87, of Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, died at 3:25 a.m. Wednesday in the nursing center. Mrs. Lemme retired as a mathematics teacher in Carmel, Ind., after 35 years of service. She was born March 2, 1908, in Cincinnati, and lived in South Bend since 1986. Her husband, Earl F. Lemme, died May 20, 1973. She is survived by a son, Stephen E. of Cassopolis; and two grandsons. She was a member of Indiana Retired Teachers Association, National Education Association and Indiana State Teachers Association.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Smith Funeral Home, Carmel. Burial will be in Carmel Cemetery. Friends may call after 12:30 p.m. until services on Friday in the funeral home. Hickey Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
