Michael Lemanski Jr.: (South Bend

Michael Lemanski Jr., 78, of 58141 Windsor Ave., died at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was a retired Studebaker Corp. employee having worked there 10 years. Born Aug. 5, 1895, in South Bend, he had lived here all his life. His first wife, Helen Michalski, died in 1944. He then married Theresa Andrzejewski, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Stanley and Casimir, both of South Bend, and Edward of Mishawaka; two stepsons, Louis and Bert Andrzejewski, both of South Bend; three daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Plencner of South Bend, Mrs. Josephine Lippy of Lakeville and Mrs. Irene Begh of South Bend; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Irene Kruyer of South Bend; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, William, Casimer and Stephen, all of South Bend, and five sisters, Mrs. Mary Golomb, Verna and Gertrude, all of South Bend, Mrs. Hilda Turkawski of Warren, Mich., and Mrs. Martha Badal of Chicago. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Marys Polish National Catholic Church. Rev. Joseph Zawistowski, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Rosaries will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
