Carrie Leliaert, 87, of South 31st Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 8:32 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, in Hospice House. Carrie was born on Feb. 21, 1912, in Bremen, Ind., to the late Lee and Mary (Eckert) Hardy.

On Jan. 5, 1935, Carrie married Andrew R. Leliaert, who survives. She is also survived by a son, Mark A. Leliaert of Albuquerque, N.M.; and by four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Carrie had retired in 1974 from UniRoyal, Inc., Mishawaka, Ind.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 28, in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, in the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Bremen Cemetery, Bremen, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
