SOUTH BEND - Rose (Rosalia) Leeper, 82, of South Bend,
Indiana, passed away Friday, January 25, 2008, in Memorial
Hospital of South Bend. Rose was born on September 4, 1925, in
South Bend, to Joseph and Catherine (Bazan) Kurowski.
She had been employed with Ramada Inn, Aucilla Plastics and the
former Drewerys Brewing Company.
On September 27, 1952, Rose married Richard
E. Leeper, who preceded her in death on December 13, 1991.
Surviving are her daughters, Laura (Bill Anderson) Plonka
of South Bend, Becky (Mike) Misevicz of South Bend and Vickie
(Robert) Garrett of South Bend; a stepdaughter, Sherrie
(Michael) Osbourne of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina;
grandchildren, Scott Plonka, Leslie (Jeff) Plonka-Blain,
Richard (Tracey) Plonka, Steve (Nina) Plonka, Lori (David) Hayes,
Jackie Miltenberger, Richard Garrett and Andrew Garrett;
great-grandchildren, Alexa, Carson, Valerie, Tony, Lily, Payton
and Kate; sisters, Lottie Stock of Indianapolis, Lillian
(Dan) Gonsorowski and Helen Dziubinski; and a
brother, Stanley Dziubinski. A daughter, Pamela Leeper, and
brothers, Joseph Kurowski, John Bazan, Casimer Dziubinski, Harry
Kurowski and Edward Kurowski, all preceded her in death. Rose
loved bingo, fishing, bowling, and was a great cook and baker.
She was known for her apple slices. A special thank you to
the caregivers at Healthwin Specialized Care and Memorial
Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m.
Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N.
Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, in St.
Casimir Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St. Joseph
Cemetery.
