Neal Lee

November 29, 1908 – September 18, 1976

Neal Lee, 67, of 1406 S. Main, was dead on arrival at 12:06am Saturday at Memorial Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack.  He was a part-time janitor for St Peter’s United Church of Christ.

Born on November 29, 1908, in Statesboro GA, he moved here 33 years ago from Cincinnati.  On February 17, 1951, in South Bend, he married Susie C. Harris, who survives.  Also surviving are one son, Gary N., stationed with the US Navy in Yokohama, Japan; four sisters, Mrs. Alma Mincey, Mrs. Juanita Washington and Mrs. Bessie Mainor, all of Statesboro, and Mrs. Vernita Knight of South Bend, and one brother, Joseph of South Bend.

Services will be at 11am Thursday in ST John Missionary Baptist Church, of which Lee was a member.  Rev. Jimmy Jones, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call from 7 to9pm Wednesday in Clark’s Funeral Chapel.
