Virginia R. Lebiedzinski

Aug. 28, 1915 - March 4, 1999

Virginia R. Lebiedzinski, 83, of Parkwood Lane, South Bend, Ind., died on Thursday, March 4, in her home.

She was born on Aug. 28, 1915, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

She retired in 1978 after eighteen years of service with the 1st Source Bank.

Mrs. Lebiedzinski was a member of the Golden Cluster Club, Rosary Society and the Hoosier Grandmother's, all of St. Hedwig Catholic Church, and the Brothers of St. Joseph.

She was married on June 4, 1935, as Virginia R. Sosinski, to Sigmund Lebiedzinski, who preceded her in death on May 11, 1985. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Andrysiak.

Mrs. Lebiedzinski is survived by two sons, Thomas (Kathy) Lebiedzinski and Frank (Anita) Lebiedzinski, both of South Bend; six grandchildren, Debra Lebiedzinski, Karen Lebiedzinski, Shelley Lebiedzinski and Andrea (Jeff) Faltynski, all of South Bend, Lori (Doug) Belardinella and Mike Lebiedzinski, both of Granger, Ind.; seven great-grandchildren, Jennifer Belardinella, Lauren Belardinella and Dominic Belardinella, all of Granger, Sarah Lebiedzinski and Chad Lebiedzinski, both of South Bend, Lyndsey Lebiedzinski of Beverly Hills, Calif., and Mark Belardinella of Michigan; and by two sisters, Henrietta Kusnierek and Sylvia McCauslin, both of South Bend.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
