Louise attended the Christ Faith Mission Church of God in Christ,
where she attended faithfully and the Pastor John H. Scott was
her leader. She served as the church mother and missionary for
many years, helping to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. She
departed this life on September 11, 2008, at St. Anthony's
Memorial Hospital around 3:30 a.m. Louise was preceded in death
by her parents, James and Mattie Gardner. She had no biological
children, yet she leaves a host of relatives and friends to
cherish her memories. Louise is survived by special cousins,
Willie and Elizabeth Stone of Adamville, Georgia, Delores
(Calvin) Kiner of LaPorte, Indiana, Leshunda Kiner and her
children, (Jo'Siah, Jeremiah and Joshua Gooch); and a
special friend, Stacy M. Polk of South Bend, Indiana. A
special thanks to Wilbert, Maria Bureau and sister, Katti
Day-Stone of Michigan City, Indiana for all their help in the
"Care-Giving" of Ms. Louise. Louise was a free spirit
woman who loved children. Her favorite pastimes in her elder
years were "spending time with her children", tic tac
toe, funny cards and board games. Louise Lawhorn's spirit will be
truly missed.
