MISHAWAKA - Valeria J. Lattimer, 88, of Mishawaka, passed
away at 8:10 p.m. Sunday, June 24, in Memorial Hospital, South
Bend. She was born on January 3, 1919, in South Bend, to Stanley
E. and Helen (Adams) Bailey, and was a lifelong
resident.
On September 25, 1942, in Mishawaka, she
married Ed Lattimer, who survives. She is also survived by her
brother, Stanley E. Bailey Jr. of Grandville, MI; special
nephews, Dan Lattimer of Mishawaka and Doug Bailey of
Hudsonville, MI; and special nieces, Amy Barnes of Grand
Rapids, MI, and Jackie Cook of Alberta, AL. She was a
charter member of St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church,
South Bend. Valeria was a working companion with her husband,
Charles, and traveled with him to his art shows for over 35
years. Not only was she the love of his life, she was his best
friend. She was a great fan of Notre Dame and the Cubs. She
enjoyed playing bridge.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM
Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at St. Michael & All Angels, 53720
N. Ironwood Road, South Bend, IN 46637. Rev. M. Randall Melton
will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date at St.
James Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Valeria J. Lattimer
may be made to the St. Michael & All Angels Church Building
Fund.
