Herman Lathan Sr.

1899 – December 22, 1976

Herman D. Lathan Sr., 77, of 2110 W. Bertrand, died at 10:20pm Wednesday in St Joseph’s Hospital after a month’s illness.  He was retired from the Packaging Corp. of Fayette MS; he lived here 36 years since coming from Fayette.  On June 9, 1940, in Lorman MS, he married Rebecca Scott, who survives.  Also surviving are one son, Herman Jr. of South Bend; one grandchild, and one foster sister, Mrs. Ressie Dean of South Bend.

Clark’s Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.  Lathan was a member and deacon of Pilgrim Baptist Church and a member of St Peter’s Lodge 31, F & AM.
