Charles Larson
MISHAWAKA - Charles “Chuck”
Larson, 83, residing on Dale Avenue, Mishawaka, IN, died at
10:24 p.m. Monday, December 25, 2006, in Memorial Hospital. He
was born on June 17, 1923, in South Bend, to Gustaf and Emma (Piney)
Larson. Chuck was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Montgomery,
Clara Rudynski and Mildred Reagan.
On April 5, 1947, in South Bend, he married Helen L. (Paulus)
Larson. She survives along with a daughter, Diane Larson of
Mishawaka. Also surviving are a son, three grandsons and five
great-grandchildren.
Chuck was a member of American Legion Post-River Park Post #303,
at its Color Guard, the Mishawaka Eagles, St. Joseph County
Campers and the Restless Rovers.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. today in the Palmer
Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, and one
hour prior to service time on Thursday. Funeral services will be
at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2006, in the Palmer Funeral
Home-River Park, with Rev. Martha Carroll, pastor of Southside
Christian Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview
Cemetery where military rites will be performed. Memorial
contributions may be made to Center for Hospice and Palliative
Care Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to Pet
