Ruth C. Lapp, 86, of Americana Healthcare Facility, Elkhart, Ind., formerly of North Brookfield Street, South Bend, passed away at 4:25 p.m. Thursday, in the healthcare facility. Mrs. Lapp was a former receptionist for Dr. Egan and Dr. Dunlap, in South Bend. She was born Sept. 23, 1909, in Alliance, Ohio, and had lived in the South Bend area since 1951, coming from Alliance. She was married, in Alliance, as Ruth Curtiss, to Wilton Lapp, who preceded her in death on March 17, 1961.

Ruth is survived by her son, Lawrence Lapp of Granger, Ind.; and three sisters, Eleanor Mansfield of Columbus, Ohio, and Esther Limstrom and Doris Tribley, both of Alliance. A brother, Richard Curtiss, preceded her in death. Mrs. Lapp was a member of First United Methodist Church, South Bend.

Services will at 2 p.m., Monday, in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., South Bend. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, in the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimers Association, Northern Indiana Chapter, 919 E. Jefferson Blvd., #01, South Bend, IN 46617-3119.
