Sister Mary Freditca CSC, 88, of St. Mary’s Convent died Monday afternoon in the convent. She had been a teacher. She was born on Jan. 23, 1903, as Hedwig Lange. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s coming from Berlin, Germany. She made her profession of vows in 1905 and taught at St. Mary’s Academy from 1904 to 1919 and at other schools until her retirement in 1960. Surviving is a sister, Sister M. Seraphina CSC of St. Mary’s.

Friends may call today and Wednesday in the convent parlors, where a rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m. today. Services will be at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Loretto Church, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus.
