NORTH LIBERTY - Elmer Lambert, 71, of
29191 Osborne Road, died at 2:13 a.m. today in St. Joseph's
Medical Center, South Bend, of natural causes. Mr. Lambert
retired as a self-employed farmer. He was born Jan. 19, 1923, in
Hamlet and was a lifelong area resident.
On Feb. 24, 1951, in North Liberty, he
married Martha L. Houser. She survives with a daughter,
Brenda Horvath of Elkhart; three sons, Jack and David,
both of North Liberty, and Richard of LaPorte; six grandsons; and
a great-granddaughter. He was a veteran of World War II and
member of American Legion Post 365, Disabled American Veterans,
and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1954.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Palmer
Funeral Home, Lakeville, Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to North Liberty United
Methodist Church of Veterans or Foreigns Wars Post 1954.
