Maurice C. LaCluyse, 69, of 1329 E. Donald Street, died at 9:40 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Medical Center after a one-month illness. He was a machinist for 34 years for Dodge Manufacturing Division, Mishawaka. Born Feb. 25, 1912 in Mishawaka, he had lived in this area all his life.
On Jan. 8, 1938 he married May Ellen Lyvers, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dennis A. (Theresa) Steinhofer of Lexington, Ky.; a son James Martin of South Bend; six grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Marie Peci of Mishawaka; and two brothers, Albert B. of California and Cyril of Mishawaka.
Services were to be held at 1 p.m. today in St. Matthew Cathedral. Most Rev. Joseph R. Crowley, rector, officiated. Burial was in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. The Guisinger Colonial Chapel handled arrangements. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge of Mishawaka and the B.K. Club.
