Mary Ellen LaCluyse, 74, of 1329 Donald Street, died about 2:20 p.m. Tuesday in Healthwin Hospital after an illness. She was born Oct. 9, 1913 in Owensboro, Ky., and had spent most of her life in this area.
As Mary Ellen Lyvers, she married Maurice C. LaCluyse, who died Feb. 28, 1981. Surviving are a daughter Therasa Steinhofer of Ashland Ky.; a son James M. LaCuyse of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren; three sisters Jean Marie Dickens of Gary, Mary Jo Horvath of Granger and Katherine Susits of Argos; a brother William Lyvers of Mishawaka.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St Matthew Catholic Cathedral. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hahn’s DeVos Funeral Home, Mishawaka.
She was a member of St. Matthew Cathedral.
