Wayne Kwiatkowski, 47, of 21000 Forest Glen, South Bend, Ind., passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 19, in his residence. Mr. Kwiatkowski was born on Feb. 4, 1954, in South Bend, to Sigmund and the late Virginia (Pawlak) Kwiatkowski.

On March 15, 1975, in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, South Bend, Wayne married Debbie Badowski, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Leslie Kwiatkowski of South Bend; a son, Jason Kwiatkowski of South Bend; his father, Sigmund Kwiatkowski of South Bend; two sisters, Sandra (Ron) Sorukas of South Bend and Marlene Kemery of San Diego, Calif.; a stepbrother, William (Diane) Sorukas of South Bend; and by many extended family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, and by a stepmother, Alice Kwiatkowski.

Wayne was a supervisor for Modineer Tool & Die Company. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and also enjoyed playing golf.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 23, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a 6 p.m. parish Rosary will be recited. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, South Bend, with cremation to follow.
