MISHAWAKA - Mary D. Kurnyak, 91, of Mishawaka Avenue, died at 8:35 a.m. Saturday in Miller's Merry Manor, Plymouth. Mrs. Kurnyak retired from Bendix in 1969 after 26 years of service. She was born Nov. 8, 1903, in Hungary, and lived in Mishawaka since 1920, coming from Hungary.

On May 13, 1922, in Mishawaka, as Mary Dery, she married Louis Kurnyak. He died Dec. 20, 1954. Surviving are a daughter, Priscilla E. Schenck of Mishawaka; a son, Joseph C. of Mishawaka; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A son, Louis J., preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday in Hahn Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
