Jacqueline D. Kurdys passed away
after a lengthy and courageous battle with metastatic lung
cancer. Jackie was born on November 13, 1938, to John D. and
Genevieve Olden. On January 17, 1959, Jackie married
Eugene A. Kurdys, who now resides in Florida. Jackie leaves
behind to cherish her memory her two special sons, Dennis E.
(Melissa) and James D. (Lisa), and a very special daughter, Shari
L. Deal; three grandsons, Paul Michael, Anthony David
Kurdys and Tyler Deal; a very very special granddaughter, Casey
M. Kurdys; and two step- granddaughters, Karissa and Amber Jacobs.
She also leaves behind two sisters, Darlene (Philip) and Adrianne
(Frank) Oliver, both of South Bend. Nieces, nephews and
friends, too many to list, but they know she loved them all.
Jackie was employed by the state of Indiana, at the Division of
Family and Children, as a secretary in the Child Abuse Section. A
very special thanks to Aunt Dolly and Uncle Phil for always being
there for our mom, good times, bad times or just a whim. We know
she loved them deeply and very much appreciated everything they
did for her. A special thanks to Ervin J. Lodyga, D.O., Rafat
Ansari, M.D. F.A.C.P., Guy Kedziora, M.D., and their staff.
Annie, thanks to you for always being ready to listen. Mom use to
say, God doesn't take anything away from you without replacing it
with something else.
