GRANGER - Thomas Kunkler, 56, of Painted Ridge Trail, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday in his home after an illness. Mr. Kunkler was employed by Masonite Corp. for more than 20 years in executive sales. He was born Dec. 24, 1938, in East Orange, N.J., and lived in Granger since 1988.

On June 10, 1961, in Janesville, Wis., he married Barbara Russell. She survives with two daughters, Sharon L. Anderson of Tallahassee, Fla., and Kristen K. Zediker of Water Valley, Miss.; a son, Jeffery S. of Milwaukee; two grandchildren; two sisters, Kay F. Korbin of Boulder, Colo., and Mary T. Smith of Boise, Idaho; and a brother, James P. Hill of Loveland, Colo. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Additional services will be in South Beloit, Ill. Burial will be in Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens, South Beloit. Friends may call two hours before services Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of St. Joseph County, South Bend, or any charity.
