MISHAWAKA - Donald F. Kulczar, 66, of Mishawaka, IN, died at 8:50 P.M. on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, in Lakeland Healthcare, St. Joseph, MI, where he had been a patient since Friday. Donald was born May 26, 1941, in South Bend, IN, to the late Frank and Maxine (Wentland) Kulczar. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathrine Kulczar.

On June 30, 1962, in South Bend, Don married Doris Ryan. Doris preceded him in death in 1987. Surviving are one son, Donald (Hope) Kulczar Jr. of Plymouth; one granddaughter, Lexy; two sisters, Nada (Mel) Hemming of Rockford, IL, and Donna Jean Gates of South Bend; and four brothers, Earl (Patricia) Kulczar of Bremen, Larry (Karen) Kulczar of Mishawaka, Ed (Kathy) Kulczar of South Bend and James (Pam) Kulczar of Troop, TX. Donald retired from Scanlan Electric in 1989 after 20 years as an electrician with Electrical Union Local 153. Prior to that he had worked for Delta Star Electric. Don was a lifetime resident, was a veteran of the U. S. Army, and was a past member of the Roseland VFW.

Friends may call Thursday from noon to 3:00 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., with the Rev. David Porterfield, C.S.C., officiating. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Contributions in memory of Donald may be made to the American Cancer Society, 601 W. Edison Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545; or to the Queen of Peace Church Building Fund, 4508 Vistula St., Mishawaka, IN 46544.
