LAPORTE — Marion J. "Mike" Kukla, 77, of 408 Grove St., died Friday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Alberta R. (Birkholz); two daughters, Joan Scroggin of LaPorte and Linda O'Neill of Granger; three sons, Leonard Birkholz and Thomas Kukla, both of LaPorte, and Michael Kukla of Indianapolis; two sisters, Caroline Gniadek of LaPorte and Helen Varro of Eagle river, Wis.; and a brother, Chester of LaPorte. Private family graveside services will be held. There will be no visitation. Essling Funeral Home is handing arrangements.
