Mr. Charles W. Kuespert Sr., 72, of 2910 Oakdale Avenue, LaPorte, Ind., died at 9:16 a.m. Monday, March 31, in the Fountainview Terrace Nursing Home, LaPorte. He was born Oct. 17, 1930, in South Bend, Ind., to John Frederick and Jessie (Kress) Kuespert. He had lived in the LaPorte area since 1984, coming from South Bend. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two brothers, Frederick Kuespert and Roger Kuespert.

Mr. Kuespert had worked at White Farm Equipment for 20 years, and retired from there in 1986. He is survived by two daughters, Karen (Brian) Blake of Louisville, Ky., Debra (Pete) S. Noll of LaPorte; three sons, Charles (Julie) W. Kuespert Jr. of Rolling Prairie, Ind., John (Sam) C. Kuespert of Michigan City, Ind., and Alan W. Kuespert of Kingsford Heights, Ind.; a stepson, Larry (Karen) Kneifel of LaPorte; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell Kuespert of Michigan; and by a former spouse, Betty Kneifel of LaPorte.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Haverstock Funeral Home, with Pastor Jack M. Cox officiating. Friends may call in the Haverstock Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. Thursday until time of services. Burial will be at the Pine Lake Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
