SOUTH BEND - Services for Mary M. Kuehl, 90, of Woodlawn Boulevard, who died at 6:51 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Theta Beta Sorority.
Mrs. Kuehl was born May 4, 1904, in Rushville, Ill., and lived in South Bend most of her life. On June 15, 1935, in South Bend, she married Russell C. Kuehl. He died June 30, 1984. She is survived by two sons, R. Carder and James R., both of South Bend; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Nina Shulmier and Harriet Knitter, both of South Bend. She was a member of the church, Order of Eastern Star, Phi Beta Psi Chapter of Theta Beta Sorority, Scottish Rite Women's Social Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, past vice president of Progress Club, past president of South Bend Kiwanis Club and South Bend Garden Club, and was a charter member and past secretary of Broadway Theatre League.
