Mary Kuchowicz

Mary Kuchowicz, age 77, of S. Olive St., South Bend, died at 4:45 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Care Center.

She was born August 30, 1921, in South Bend, to Walter and Stella (Nowakowski) Kuchowicz. Miss Kuchowicz retired from the former Roach Appleton after 45 years of service.

Miss Kuchowicz is survived by a sister, Irene Swistek of Michigan City, IN; a sister-in-law, Chesterine Kuchowicz of South Bend; two nieces, Emily (Charles) Hahn of Valparaiso, IN, and Patricia (Bruce) Frankinburger of LaPorte, IN; four nephews, Robert (Eleanor) Kuchowicz of Fond du Lac, WI, Richard (Carroll) Kuchowicz of Elizabethtown, KY, John Swistek of Michigan City, IN and Stanley (Nancy) Swistek of Florida; and by several great nieces and great nephews. Preceding Miss Kuchowicz in death were her parents; and two brothers, Stanley and Sigmund Kuchowicz.

Family and friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a rosary will be said at 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
