Paul C. Kuboske

Paul C. Kuboske, 88, of State Road 2, South Bend, passed away at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 7, 2001, in Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Kuboske was born on January 1, 1913, in Rensaleer, IN to Michael and Katherine (Wagner) Kuboske, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Bernard and Lon Kuboske. Mr. Kuboske had lived in South Bend since 1922, coming from Rensaleer, IN. He was the owner of Paul's Garage for over 40 years. He was also a school bus driver for the South bend Community School System for sixteen years.
On January 29, 1936, in Sacred Heart Church on Thomas Street in South Bend, IN, he married Marjorie M. DeWyze, to whom he had been married for 65 years. Also surviving are his daughters, Lois Leyes of South Bend, IN, Carol (Russell) Myers of Fountain Hills, AZ, Jean Haluda of South Bend, IN, eleven grandchildren, Paul (Nancy) Leyes, Anne (James) Holm, Leslie (James) Abbott, Jill (Clint) Schlarb, Lynn Bruntz, Matthew (Jennifer) Leyes, Kelly Haluda, Mary (Tim) Haag, Shelly (Larry) Regina, Mark (Tonya) Myers, Michael (Shelia) Haluda; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Catherine Mason of South Bend, IN, Mary (Walter) Chadwick of Grand Rapids, MI; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Kuboske of South Bend, IN.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 11, 2001, in Corpus Christi Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Sunday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 PM.
Mr. Kuboske was a charter member of Corpus Christi Parish and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #58. He was an avid fisherman and loved to bowl, golf, and play cards.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Corpus Christi School Building Fund.
