Naomi E. Krusinski, 93, residing on
Madison Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 11:50 p.m. Sunday,
March 30, in her residence. She was born Aug. 29, 1909, as the
daughter of James H. and Minnie (Stevens) Davis, and had
been a lifelong area resident. On Sept. 10, 1927, as Naomi Davis,
she married Ignatius Krusinski, who preceded her in death on June
4, 1980. She is survived by three daughters, Dolores (Karl) Huff
of Bremen, Ind., Betty (Clifford) Hamilton and Sharon
(Dave) Vandewalle, both of South Bend; her son, Robert
(Mary) Krusinski of South Bend; nine grandchildren, Karla (Dean) Barnum
of Mishawaka, Ind., Cheryl (Bruce) Fuchs of Bremen, Linda
(John) Goodspeed, Doug Hamilton, Debbie (Albert) Goffinet,
all of South Bend, Robert Krusinski Jr. of Lafayette, Ind.,
Tracie (Curt) Knotts, Amy (Steve) Rudolph and Eric
Vandewalle, all of West Lafayette; 13 great- grandchildren,
Danielle and Nicole Barnum of Mishawaka, Kelli (Bret) Mann
of Elkhart, Ind., Brian Fuchs of Bremen, Holly (Scott) Swartz
of South Bend, Heather Goodspeed of South Bend, Byron Goodspeed
of West Lafayette, Ind., Julie Hamilton of South Bend, Nathan
(Danielle) Goffinet, Meri Goffinet, and Adam Goffinet, all of
South Bend, and Mirranda Knotts and Morgan Knotts, both of West
Lafayette; and by three great-great-grandchildren, Jacob Mann,
Allison Swartz and Robert Swartz. Mrs. Krusinski retired from A
& P Supermarket where she served as a cashier for 21 years.
She was a longtime member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church,
South Bend.
Services for Naomi E. Krusinski will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, in Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend. Rev. Charles Ternet, pastor of Maple Grove United Methodist Church, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the Palmer Funeral Home- Guisinger Chapel. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Krusinski may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to the St. Joseph County 4-H Scholarship Fund, 5117 South Ironwood Road, South Bend, IN 46614.
