Georgia M. Kristos, 77, of Brooktrail Drive in South Bend, Ind., passed away at 9:50 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 13, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. She was born on June 25, 1923, to the late Harry and Panagoula (Diplari) Brillan in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident. She was also preceded in death by a brother, William Harry Brillan. Mrs. Kristos retired in June 1993 as a medical secretary for South Bend Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine after 42 years of service. On July 30, 1965, as Georgia Maros, she married Michael Kristos in St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, South Bend. He survives. She is also survived by her son, Mickey Peter (Carol) Maros of Coral Springs, Fla.; and by two grandchildren, Michelle C. Maros and Jessica L. Maros, both of Coral Springs.

Mrs. Kristos was an active member of St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church.

Friends called from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, in the KANIEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a Trisagion service was held at 7:30 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today, Nov. 16, in St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, with Rev. George Konstantopoulos officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, 52455 N. Ironwood Road, South Bend, IN 46635.
