NEW BUFFALO, Mich. -- Jean H. Krick, 84, New Buffalo, died at 6 p.m. Friday (March 5, 2004) at Donna's Family Care Center, Grand Beach, Mich. The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Root Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place, and burial of the ashes will be in Riverview Cemetery, South Bend. There will be no visitation. She was born July 7, 1919, in South Bend to Henry and Helen (Gieszynski) Gnoit. In South Bend, she married John Krick, who died Jan. 18, 1989. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Also preceding Mrs. Krick in death were one sister, Leona; and one cousin, Julie M. Nagy. Mrs. Krick loved to do crossword puzzles and needlepoint. Memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Hospice.
