Elmer H. Kramer
Elmer H. Kramer, 65, of 757 S. Gladstone Ave. died at
4:15 p.m. Tuesday
in the Carlyle Nursing Home after an illness of 10 years. He was a
retired
Bendix Corp, employee with 26 years of service. He was born Feb. 14,
1908, in
Farley, Iowa and came to South Bend 33 years ago from Fort Wayne. On Nov.
8,
1944, he married Jean Holderman, who survives. Also surviving are three
daughters, Mrs. Sandi Oltman and Mrs. Linda Hunt, both of Mishawaka, and
Mrs. Mary
Ann Greider of Leonidas, Mich.; six grandchildren; a brother Walter of
Dyersville, Iowa; and a sister, Mrs. Robert Fowler of Annandale, Va.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Today and from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Thursday in the Forest G. Hay & Son Funeral Home 1201 S. Michigan
St., where
services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday with Rev. George A. Harris
pastor of South Side Christian Church, officiating. Entombment will be in
Riverview Mausoleum. Mr. Kramer was a member of the Bendix Management
Retirees
Club and the National Management Assn.
