South Bend Tribune, Wednesday Evening, May 31, 1944

Anthony Kowalik, age 56, of 745 Warren street, died today (May 31, 1944) at 4:30 a.m. in Healthwin hospital after a year's illness. Born in Poland, Sept 19, 1887, he came to South Bend from that country 30 years ago. Surviving are the widow, Frances, and four children, Wanda, Eugene, Helen and Joseph, all at home.

Last services for Anthony Kowalik, of 745 Warren Street, who died in Healthwin hospital Wednesday morning, will be held at 8 a.m., Saturday in St Adalbert's Roman Catholic church. The requiem high mass will be sung by Rev Ignatius J. Gapcaynski, pastor. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
