Harry S. Kowalewski: (South Bend Tribune 4/19/1982)
Harry S. Kowalewski, 54, of Warrenton, Va., formerly of South
Bend, died Saturday afternoon in Virginia after a lengthy
illness. He was employed by the U.S. Government for the last 30
years. He was born on Nov. 4, 1927, in Crumstown and lived in the
South Bend area for many years. On Feb. 16, 1952, in Valparaiso,
he married Jean Watt, who survives with four daughters, Susan
Bears of Frederickson, Md., Sally, Sandy and Sharon all at home;
two sons, Joseph and Jim of Warrenton; two grandsons; three
sisters, Jennie Jozwiak of North Liberty, Virginia Wantuck and
Florence Bilinski both of South Bend; and three brothers, Julius
of Wisconsin, and John and Raymond both of South Bend. Services
will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Johns Catholic Church
in Warrenton. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and noon to
9 p.m. Tuesday at the Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton. He was a
Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Knights of Columbus
Fourth Degree, was financial secretaryof the Third and Fourth
Degree of K. of C., and was an usher in the church.
