Jennie Kotal

Mrs. Joseph Kotal, age 38, of 1417 West Indian Avenue, died at 7:30 o’clock this morning in her home after a year’s illness.

 Born in South Bend in August 1893, she lived her entire life here.

She was married in 1913 to Mr. Kotal, who survives.

She also leaves her mother Mrs. Rose Szmankowski; six children, Henry, Joseph, Margaret, Jennie, Hildegarde and Helen, and one brother and three sisters, Steven Szmankowski,  and Mrs. Norris Szarkocki of this city, and Mrs. Peter Doons of Mishawaka.

The body will be taken to the Nemeth mortuary,

Last rites for Mrs. Joseph Kotal will take place at 9 o’clock Saturday morning in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. Rev. Michael Oswald will officiate and burial will be made in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

The body will lie in state in the residence, 1417 East Indiana Avenue, until the hour of the service.
