Sister Mary Rose Magdalen CSC, 71, of St. Mary’s  Convent died ealy this morning in the convent. She was born in South Bend, and as Thecla Kosnowska, entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Jan. 30, 1921. She was received as a novice Aug. 15, 1921 and professed her vows on Aug. 15, 1923. She taught in schools in Crawfordsville, Gary, and in Illinois.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Friends may call today and Wednesday in the convent parlors, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today.
