Judy Ann Konzen, 43, of 4119 S. Fellows Street, South Bend, Ind., formerly of 22940 W. Ireland Road, passed away at 4:37 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend.

Judy Ann was born on June 29, 1955, in South Bend, and was a lifetime resident of the Michiana area. At the time of her death she was employed at Ivy Tech State College in South Bend.

She is survived by her mother, Donnabelle Konzen of South Bend; a brother, Thomas L. Konzen of Mishawaka, Ind.; a niece, Michelle L. Sran of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a great niece, Halie Paige Ward of Mishawaka; and by a nephew, Thomas L. Konzen, Jr., of Mishawaka. Judy Ann will also be sadly missed by her close friend, George Ann DeVolder of South Bend. Judy Ann was preceded in death by her father, Dale F. Konzen on February 19, 1968.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation hours. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday in the Hanley & Sons Southwest Chapel Funeral Home, located at W. Ireland Road and Indiana 23, South Bend. Rev. Dermot Gahan of St. Matthew Cathedral will officiate at the memorial service. Burial will be in Sumption Prairie Cemetery. Judy Ann was an avid pet lover and the family requests that all memorial contributions be made to the St. Joseph County Pet Refuge. The Hanley & Sons Southwest Chapel Funeral Home handled services and extend prayers and heartfelt sympathy to the family of Judy Ann Konzen.
