Jozsef Koloszar (May 22, 1910 - Feb. 4,
2000).
Jozsef Koloszar, 89, of West Dubail
Street, passed away at 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, in the
Fountainview Place Nursing Home.
Mr. Koloszar retired in 1975 from the
University of Notre Dame where he had been employed for 18 years.
He was born on May 22, 1910, in Pinnye, Hungary, to Sandor and
Katalin Koloszar. On Feb. 9, 1935, in Hungary, he married Gizella
Szekendl, who died on June 17, 1996. Jozsef was also
preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Finta, who died on March
20, 1982.
He is survived by a daughter, Pearl (Steve) Hinora
of South Bend; two sons, John (Sue) Koloszar of Woodbridge,
Va., and Joseph (Connie) Koloszar of South Bend; and by nine
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, in Our Lady of Hungary
Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. on Monday
in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, where a
Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the
Our Lady of Hungary Church Building Fund.

SOUTH BEND Jozsef Koloszar, 89, of West Dubail Street,
died Friday in Fountainview Nursing Home, Mishawaka, of natural
causes. Survivors include a daughter, Pearl Hinora of South Bend;
and two sons, John of Woodbridge, Va., and Joseph of South Bend.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Hungary
Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday in
Zahoran Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 3 p.m.
