Gizella Koloszar, 83, of West
Dubail Street died at 7:25 a.m. Monday, June 17 in Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Koloszar retired in 1978 from the University of Notre Dame
after 15 years of service. She was born on Oct. 12, 1912, in Sopron,
Hungary and had lived in South Bend since 1956. She was married
on Feb. 9, 1935, in Hungary as Gizella Szekendi to Jozsef
Koloszar who survives with one daughter, Pearl Hinora of South
Bend; two sons, John of Woodbridge, Va. and Joseph of South Bend;
nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anna Nemeth
of Hungary. She was preceded by a daughter, Helen Finata,
who died March 20, 1982.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Our
Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Zahoran
Funeral Home, where a Parish Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to the church.
