Rose Marie Kollar, 69, of Lincolnway
West, Mishawaka, Ind., died in Cardinal Nursing and
Rehabilitation Center, South Bend, Ind., at 8:25 a.m. on
Saturday, Jan. 8. Rose was born in Chicago, Ill., on Sept. 15,
1930 and had lived in this area since 1947. Mrs. Kollar was
preceded in death by her parents, Luther & Mary Alice (Rice)
Woods and by her brother, Jack Woods. She retired in 1985
from Weltek Inc., after 20 years of service. Rose was an avid
Chicago Cub and Notre Dame Football fan, and she enjoyed
crocheting and reading.
Rose married Albert Gene Kollar in Mishawaka
on April 29, 1950, he survives. She is also survived by three
daughters, Gail Galloway and Kim Orosz of South
Bend, Jacqueline Hensley of Osceola; three sons, Geno
Kollar of Summerville, S.C., Nick Kollar of Herford, Ariz., and
Jack "Woody" Kollar of South Bend; ten grandchildren;
three great grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and by eight
step great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on
Tuesday, Jan. 11, and one hour before services in the Bubb
Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. Funeral
services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday Jan. 12, in the
funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of
the donors choice.
