April 29, 1928-April 9, 1997 SOUTH BEND – Dorothy M. Kolczynski, of Quince Road, South Bend, Ind., died at 8:10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Kolczynski was born April 29, 1928, in Buchanan, Mich., and had resided in this area most of her life. She retired in 1995 from Raco. She was married Oct. 15, 1950, in South Bend, as Dorothy M. Smith, to Daniel Kolczynski, who survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Linda Praklet of Mishawaka, Ind., and Judy Kolczynski of South Bend; a son, Richard Kolczynski of South Bend; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica Kolczynski of South Bend and Christopher and Cory Praklet of Mishwaka; a sister, Doris Charles of South Bend; and by a brother, Gerald Smith of Buchanan. Mrs. Kolczynski was a member of the Lydick United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be at noon on Saturday at the funeral home, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
