SOUTH BEND - Services for Alfred Koczan, 75, of West Jewell Street, who died at 8 a.m. Monday in his home after an illness, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Zahoran Funeral Home. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Mr. Koczan retired in 1981 from Bendix Corp. after 30 years of service. He was born Jan. 19, 1919, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On Feb. 13, 1943, in South Bend, he married Mary Tamandli. She survives, with two daughters, Char Koczan and Jacqueline Karason, both of South Bend; a son, Michael of Lakeville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elsie Brewer of Mokena, Ill. He was a veteran of World War II.
