Robert A. Kober (Jan. 21, 1928 -- July 11,
2003)
Robert A. Kober, 75, of Fellows
Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 10:10 a.m. Friday, July 11, in Southfield
Village, South Bend.
He was born on Jan. 21, 1928, to the late
Mary (Buysse) and Nicholas Kober Sr. On Aug. 13, 1949, in South
Bend, he married Lillian E. Steh, who preceded him in
death on Nov. 19, 1988. Mr. Kober was also preceded in death by a
brother, Nicholas Kober Jr.
Mr. Kober is survived by three daughters,
Elizabeth (Douglas) Corner and Suzanna M. (Randy Bartrum)
Johnson, both of South Bend, and Mary Jo (Jerry) Ames of
Rochester, Ind.; and by six grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
Mr. Kober retired from J.W. Werntz in sales
where he had worked for 26 years. He was an Army veteran of World
War II, and was a member of VFW Post 1167, South Bend.
Services for Mr. Kober will be at 10 a.m.
Wednesday, July 16, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N.
William St., South Bend, where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m.
on Tuesday, July 15. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, South
Bend.
