SOUTH BEND - Donald T. Knust, 68, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of South Bend, died Sunday in his home after an illness. Mr. Knust was a former employee of Commercial Credit. He was born Dec. 7, 1925, in Howells, Neb., and lived in Arizona for nine years.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Knust of Sun City; four daughters, Connie Tarkonski and Mary Beth Eliasson, both of Huntsville, Ala., Becky Shoulders of Nashville, Tenn., and Kathy Schurr of Tempe, Ariz.; two sons, Terry of Joliet, Ill., and Mark of Port Huron, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Elaine Bazata of Omaha, Neb., and Janelle Hirsch of Alamo, Calif.; and three brothers, Melvin of Sun City, Harold of Chamberlain, S.D., and Ronald of Omaha.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Notre Dame Quarterback Club, and was a veteran of World War II.

Services were held Wednesday in St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, Sun City. Sunland Mortuary, Sun City, handled arrangements.
