SOUTH BEND - Edna M. Knode, 98, of Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, died at 8:10 a.m. Thursday in the nursing home. Mrs. Knode was born Nov. 6, 1896, in South Bend.

On Aug. 25, 1916, in Chicago, as Edna M. Seward, she married Harry P. Knode. He died Nov. 14, 1981. She is survived by a nephew, Clayson Seward of South Bend.

Services were to be at 2 p.m. today in Highland Cemetery Mausoleum. Burial was to follow. Friends may call one hour before services in Forest H. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St. Memorial contributions may be made to Feed the Hungry, in care of Christian Center.
