Walter W. Knoblock, 87, died on Monday, Dec. 13, in Las Vegas, Nev.

He was born on Oct. 5, 1912, in Bremen, Ind.

A retired truck driver, he lived in South Bend until 1997. He was past master and a 50-year member of St. Joseph Lodge #34 F&AM, and was a member of the South Bend Scottish Rite, the South Bend Royal Arch Masons and the Orak Shrine Temple.

He is survived by his sons, Bob of Edwardsburg, Mich., Frank of Las Vegas, George of Las Vegas, Tim of Millbrook, Ala., and Joseph of Prescott, Ariz.; daughters, Shannon Porter of Nevada City, Calif., and Julee Ebert of Las Vegas; a sister, Julia Mae Renas of Tucson, Ariz.; and by 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29, in the South Bend Masonic Temple, 427 N. Main Street.
