Osceola – Ruth C. Knoblock, 92, of East Adams St. died at 7:50 a.m. Saturday (June 30, 2001) in Valley View Nursing Home, Elkhart.

Mrs. Knoblock was born Nov. 9, 1908 in Cromwell, Ind., to Jesse and Cora Green, and lived in Osceola most of her life.

She married Karl Knoblock on June 1, 1931 in Elkhart. He preceded her in death in 1944.

Surviving are two sons, Richard Knoblock of Osceola and Jack (Linda) Knoblock of Elkhart; two grandchildren, Todd Knoblock and Wendy Farr; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Palmer Funeral Home in Osceola. Services will be held in the funeral home and Rev. Brian Beeks of Osceola United Methodist Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka.

Mrs. Knoblock retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company in 1973 following 34 years of service as a telephone operator.

She was a charter member of Osceola United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be given to Osceola United Methodist Church.
