SOUTH BEND - Lois Jeanette Knight, 92, of Barrington, IL, formerly of South Bend/Mishawaka, passed away on January 5, 2010, in Barrington. She was born on August 22, 1917, in Mishawaka, to the late Clem and Hazel (Annis) Shearer. On June 27, 1941, she married Kenton Kae Knight, who preceded her in death on May 9, 1979. Lois is survived by her children, Jane Johnson of Barrington and Kevin (Mary) Knight of Granger, IN; five grandchildren, Kyle Knight of AL, Corey (Catherine) Knight of MI, Stephanie Knight of IN, Kathy (Shane) Goss of IL and Kristen Johnson of Washington, DC; five great-grandchildren, Paden Knight of AL, Caden and Caroline of MI, Grant and Ellison Goss of IL; three nieces and two nephews. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Wiseman of FL. Mrs. Knight worked for Bendix as a key punch operator before retiring in May 1973 after 15 years of service. Lois has donated her body to the Anatomical Society.
