SOUTH BEND - Catherine Elizabeth Klute, 81, of Indiana 23, died at 1:20 p.m. Monday in Regency Place. Mrs. Klute was born July 9, 1913, in Philadelphia, and lived in South Bend since 1935, coming from Philadelphia.

On Aug. 2, 1932, in Philadelphia, as Catherine Elizabeth McKeown, she married Walter Grant Klute. He died Jan. 13, 1980. She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Standley of Florida; two sons, William of South Bend and Ronald of Raleigh, N.C.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in McGann Funeral Home, 2313 E. Edison Road. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
