Robert F. Klowetter

Robert F. Klowetter, 62, of South Bend, Ind., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 9, in his residence. Mr. Klowetter was born on Oct. 21, 1937 in South Bend as was a lifelong resident. He graduated from John Adams High School and then attended Purdue University. He was employed with Bendix-Allied Signal from Sept. 12, 1956 until Nov. 1, 1993, where he retired as an Employment Manager-Bargaining Personnel.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy M. Klowetter of South Bend; his sister and her husband, Margaret and John Fisher; a niece and her husband, Sandra and Jeff Cummings; a great nephew, Michael Cummings; and by a nephew, Matthew Fisher, all of Seattle, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Marie (Nowicki) on April 20, 1989; his father, Warren E. Klowetter; and by a nephew, John Michael Fisher.
Mr. Klowetter was a member of the American Legion Post #50 S.A.L.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 15 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 14, in the funeral home.
