Marvel Dean Milliken Kline, 93, died
at 10:25 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25.
She was born on Sept. 28, 1905, in North
Liberty, Ind., to Kyle E. and Dollie (Anderson) Milliken,
both of whom preceded her in death.
On Aug. 30, 1924, in South Bend, Ind., she
married Earl C. Kline, who preceded her in death on April 15,
1974. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dollie Anna
Kline; a son, Barry Lyndon Kline; a sister, Bernice Howell;
and by three brothers, Frank Milliken, Clinton Milliken and
Lyndon Milliken. Mrs. Kline is survived by a daughter, Betty
Marie Kline Michael; five grandchildren, Barry Jo Kline,
Wendy L. Kline Yuhasz, Sally A. Michael Garrett,
Jeffry L. Michael and Patricia M. Michael Miller; sixteen
great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and by a
sister, Zelda Palmiter.
Services for Mrs. Kline will be at 1 p.m. on
Monday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street,
South Bend, where friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of
services on Monday. Cremation will take place with burial in Mt.
Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend. The family has requested that
memorial contributions be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's
Witnesses, Chain-o-Lakes, 24255 Huron, South Bend, IN 46619.
Marvel Dean Milliken Kline was a wonderful person, a loving and
devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was her life.
All of her loving, generous qualities will be sorely missed by
her family as we all try to follow her example.
