Elizabeth Klevorn

Elizabeth Klevorn, 85, residing in South Bend, passed away at 5:10 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2006, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. She was born July 16, 1920, in Braidwood, Illinois, to Arthur and Grace (Burrell) Englebrecht, and moved to Stillwell, IN, at the age of two. She had lived in South Bend since 1950.

 

On November 18, 1950, in LaPorte, IN, as Elizabeth Englebrecht, she married Robert Remington Klevorn. She is survived by her husband Robert of 55 years. Also surviving are three daughters, Sue (John) Parker of South Bend, Debra (Alex) Vida of Mishawaka and Carrie (Dwayne) Hickman of Dayton, TN. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jeremy Vida, Rachel Vida and Stephanie Parker.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Klevorn was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Parker in 2004; a sister, Mary Jackson; and two brothers, Robert and Arthur Englebrecht. She was a former employee of the Bendix Corp. and Allis Chalmers. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. James Episcopal and the Order of Eastern Star.

 

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 1, in the Cathedral of St. James Episcopal, 117 North Lafayette Blvd., South Bend. Cremation will follow at Southlawn Cremation Services. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. today, April 30, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend.
